“Smaller and smaller my longing grew
until it could almost fit in a watery pocket.” ~ D. Bonta

And when it was all of a sheet
that I could smooth out plain,
I took a river stone and wrapped it,
tucking a heart in as after-
thought because this way
you’ll have something more
than just a spare toothbrush or
flashlight battery to take with you.
