In the Substrate

Perhaps it isn't enough 
to let go of what no longer 
serves us. That kind of purge 
seems to require the entire 
imagination erased. But then 
a problem arises out of thinking
a kind of neutral space takes 
over. Even in the non-thinking or
non-looking, an agency resides. 
It simmers until it has
to break out in spores.
