Ordinary Prophecies

If you wear your shirt inside out
a lover more than twice your age

If in a dream a mouth emptied of teeth
a terrible fate without a discernible face

If a canopy of wings drowned in a pool
a boatload of souls unferried

If an eyeless or dismembered ghost
perhaps another chance at life

If a bone drumming in the open wind
a marriage about to turn
